Well this is so exciting for all of our customers who have been asking and now for the first time in Prince George an exclusive experience with our Studios - Boudoir for all ages!
Women really are raving not only how much fun they are having but also the power it has given them to see themselves in such a wonderful sensual and classy way. Yes, they also say how nervous they are at first to "do it" but honestly each of one you have also told me how that goes away after a few minutes once you start to see how I see you through the lens. You have to experience it for yourself ladies! ( Big hint here for you to drop to the people in your life that you want to have one of these sessions included in your stocking!!) we do gift certificates. In the Free Press

We made the paper again.

had our work selected for a Salon back in March. We thought we'd like to share some of the images with you in this digital day and age so we printed and framed them for the patrons of Books & Co. to enjoy for the month of September. Grab a java and take a gander as they are some beautiful images from a great group of people!

A Night to remember!
Ok I am a Really Big Fan of Elton John's and have been for years and will continue.
It was announced in April that he was coming and thankfully a friend was able to score a
couple tickets for me as I was on the road at the time.They sold out in 2 hours or less so
thanks Elain. He was everything and so much much more in his concert here with us at the
CN Centre just over 6,500 people there but it felt intimate.He has set the standard for any further entertainers coming here for sure.Elton laid it all out for us..no holding back.Can that guy rock or what!!Thank You for taking the chance on us...you have made us complete!! Rocket Man ..you rock It!!

Studying Painting in Quebec with the Simones

What a wonderful experience to be with people who are so inspiring not only by their imagery but by themselves as human beings.
Joseph and Louise SImone gave us 5 days of their time and talent.Louise Is an amazing artisan who gave us new tools for us to grow.Merci Louise et Joseph and all the wonderul members of our "nouveau Famille" !

My Parents immigrated from Ireland and met in Prince George BC Canada in 1957.They lived together for 51 years until May22,2010 when my Dad, Bill Hughes, passed away in his sleep in hospital. He had kidney failure. Dad lived a very full and loving life. My parents travelled the world expanding their circle of love of people.This video clip was from a recently found 16mm that had been transferred to DVD..and warms my heart to see.It was before they were married..so about 1958 up in the cold North...here PG!

We celebrate his life today with all my siblings & friends either here in Chemainus or in their thoughts around the world. Another celebration of his life will be Wednesday, June 2 at Domano Chapel at the Domano Renewal Centre at 7pm.

Peds Project at Hospital is Up

It took a year from start to finish but it is now up on the 2nd floor of the local hospital
in Prince George now called the University Hospital. I was asked to create a friendly home like atmosphere with images depicting children of all ages to hang in the entrance way to the Peds floor. One side shows children at different ages and their activities from a 3 week newborn to teens with their electronic toys hanging together.The other wall has two large canvases with the "bums" of 8 babies then 7 sitting babies in diapers along with some single/double images.
This took alot of effort from alot of people so thanks to all of you...and thanks Sandra Wyatt for asking me to do it in the first place. What is next?????

Denise McLean is the local breeder along with the owners, Robbie & Brad invited us into this wonderful world of their 8 Weimaraner puppies! Things are shaking up!! Ok and the North Women in Photographer Kick it!

If you were there you know all this but if you weren't you missed a Kick you know what time..Jasmine Starr Mitch Graf Dane Sanders Dale Sanders and the Blue Olive team were incredible..Marketing marketing marketing..Bonus for those of us in PPABC.was the Print Competition..which is what the photo is about.

I got BEST GROUP again (2000/2010) this time for my BUMMED shot..yes the one of the babies bottoms you see in earlier blogs.Also got my MPA 1st Bar..but have to say I am so proud of the two women standing beside me..on the far left is Tina Cyr who picked up two awards for including Most Creative image and then Debbie won POY.Photographer of the Year for her 4 pics. Can't wait to tell you how important it is to circle the dates for next year's IMAGEQUEST 2011 March 20 -23 ( Sunday - Tues) in Richmond at the same place RIVEROCK CASINO!!

2010 OLYMPICS VANCOUVER....a dream come true

To Celebrate my 50th birthday and with my love of the Olympics it was a great chance to combine it all to fly to Vancouver and participate in as much as possible.On the last day I scored a ticket to the Opening Ceremonies which was amazing to witness.The energy was high despite what the events of the day had sadly brought with it.
I also attended two Women's hockey games,speed skating and a Victory Ceremony..which turned out to the be day Alexandre Bilodeau received his Gold for Moguls for Canada!!

A New Year has begun...and this week on Thursday January 14 at Books & Co. come join us from 6pm - 8pm for an opportunity to network and meet other people who are keen on photography.Whether you are working in the business part-time full-time or would like to this is for you.We are starting a new program that will run for the year on the same day at the same time at the same place ( as long as it is big enough for us)that opens the doors and hopes to draw people together to exchange ideas and learn more about the industry to help you get on your feet.We hope that by coming to the meeting you will learn about the Professional Association we belong to and would consider joining.The first time you come out is for free..we would like to see you join the association at whatever level you decide to continue to come to the meetings.We will have a list of topics to be discussed plus we have a couple of outings planned as well!
Both Bobbi Carpino of Bobbi Carpino Photography and myself will be leading this group so hope to see you there.Come grab a cup of your favorite brew from Cafe Voltaire and pull up a chair with us!
