Update on a Maternity Session from this summer.

Just to let those of you who saw this couple in our last blog they did have their baby - A  boy Mom named Anders. Not on the Thanksgiving Day weekend but Friday Oct 18th. First grandchild for Joan and Roy.Congratulations to Colin and Amy.And you too Murry ( the dog!). hope we see you all again.

Maternity, An Outdoor Session

Maternity is such a beautiful time in a couples life.

  We met this couple through their Mom who also came out for a few pics with her First Grandchild to be.

They wanted to be outdoors and with their dog and we wanted to be safe so off we went to a friend of mine's farm . Their dog Murry,was a very happy to be the centre of attention.

 Mom is due around Thanksgiving so we will be thinking of you around then!!

Ready and waiting to become a Mother - again.

Georgina told me two things at her consult for a portrait session. She said  her due date was May 12th.and  the image she wanted the most was of her pregnant with her second child. I was looking forward to using this outfit though at the time she wasn't sure if we'd be able to.So very glad we did as this is now in one of my all time favorites of a pregnant woman.The shape of the belly is gently accented with the outfit and that colour just works with her. We also worked with her husband and son after these ones were completed. I look forward to hearing about their newborn but feel this is a wonderful image full of anticipation and pride.
Mother's Day is just around the corner and I wonder if it will be the new baby's Birth Date??

Oh I LOVE Boudoir and double that when it is for a new Momma to be.
This was such a beautiful session that we did for our Bridal Winner from Storybook Wedding Show back in

January. She looked radiant as you can see.Thanks so much to Renata at La Tienda who did her hair in this very 50s ish style and to Crystal of Blessings Studio who did the makeup.Both ladies put their talents in with us to give a wonderful experience which she just can not say enough positive things about.She said "everyone should do it , even my Mom!!" Hear that Mom ...or soon Grand Mom (for the 3rd time!) Maternity Fun

You know when a couple come to just enjoy themselves you are so pumped and it just brings out some great images.
Well it did with these two!! what a fun session for me.Ryan was joking with Trish's hair on his head and the super energy just continued. Thanks so much for asking me to do this for you.Can't wait to continue the fun with you when the baby comes!!!

Miss Maddie

Oh lovely lovely newborns for the last few sessions have been a delight to work with.
This family had their Moms visiting from overseas so Definitely had to capture that
historical moment.Ok Maddie slept through it but she'll appreciate it later in life!

Newborn Week!!

Baby Arianna

Maybe it is because I do so many boudoir sessions ( someone
said to me) but I have been also doing as many ( not quite)
newborn/baby sessions!! But that isn't always true - right??

Just thought I'd share this pic that  Amy's husband John took
for me on my NIKON D300 at the end our newborn session.
We were all exhausted...except Arianna this past week.
My excuse: it was one of 3 newborn sessions this week!!

New Looks,Products & Service!!

Thought you might like to know we are bringing in some new products and revamping our studio as well as offering a new
service!
We will be showcasing our new products over the new few
weeks so if you are interested in a family, child, maternity or

First up is our new Block Art Pieces! Images are laminated and are mounted on wood with a variety of finishes. Try something new!

Celebrating Midwifes

Maternity and newborns are one of the main focuses of our studio.

So when a local registered midwife called and asked if I would be interested in hanging my work in her new clinic I was delighted. Jane Hedges and Judy DeFrietas

opened the Northern Midwifery Care here in Prince George together and are more than busy with their practice.

I went through to see if some of their clients had their maternity or newborn session with our studio in the past and then included my work of my previous clients.With their each of their

permission to display their images, Jane and I next looked at what would work for their for space. I wanted it clean and simple. I kept most of them 16x20 and b&w, with the exception of a couple.

Now, here in May the Midwifes celebrate International Midwife Day (May 5th)

and I am so glad that I got to be apart of their world as they do amazing work enpowering

women. Congratulations on your new Clinic Jane and Judy ! Thanks for the opportunity you gave me to show how wonderful maternity and newborn imagery is.
