Before and After the Bump!!

Brandi was having her second baby and really wanted to have a session done while pregnant and when her newborn son was born she wanted to come in again and have one done with her new family. So her wish was our pleasure to make come true. Her maternity session we did in early Feb.8th. 

Can you believe that the baby is 1 week old today March 1st?!!

Sweet Sixteen

Sweet Sixteen...oh how so long ago ...for me, but just a couple weeks ago Mackenzie came to celebrate her 16th! It was a total surprise from her Mom.She arranged hair and makeup  her at the studio with her own gal extraordinary. She managed to get all her girlfriends to keep the secret right up until the time they were all here!! They were all gorgeous girls to work with including Mackenzie's little sister Jocelyn. Mackenzie is on the far right We did do a Mother and Daughters mini session as well. So everyone had a blast getting all done up and then they were taken off for dinner after their photo shoot!! What a great Mom eh!! Hey maybe it is something you can do for your 16 year old too!!

StoryBook Weddings Show Highlights Jan 20 2013

To say the Storybook Weddings Show.was a successful Bridal show would be an understatement Here are some of our highlights we captured.Julie and I heard so many wonderful stories from  brides and their family and friends.We watched the show from time to time and loved this dance routine with the 4 guys on stage I presume from the audience. A very entertaining routine. A couple of our personal favorite stories were of the gal at the top of page who won one of our two giveaway $500 prizes.She was SO excited that we heard her scream from the foyer.She jumped up and tore the car accidentally when she found she was the winner.If you know who the other winner is let us know and ask them to call us as we missed seeing them at the show.

Then there was our feature poster of Charlene wearing an incredibly sensual black evening gown she had purchased from Storybook Weddings.She had come in to be our model for it and flew away the next day on holidays so she and her husband dropped by the show just to see it and you can see their reaction was pretty amazing.LOVE it.Hope you had as much as we did.If you were one of the lucky ladies who purchased our SHOWSTOPPER Deal Congrats and see you soon ( before May 26 when it expires!)

STORYBOOK BRIDAL SHOW JAN 20TH 2013

Love doing Bridal Shows. though I don't do Weddings i still enjoying meeting all the gals who are getting married and their Moms.
The StoryBook Wedding Show   is tomorrow Jan.20th.at the Civic Centre from 10 am - 3pm.Get your tickets at the door if you haven't already got them from their shop on 3rd Ave across from Northern Hardware.
We will be introducing our super sweet deal we are offering up this year. We have a whole lot of new products -ditched a few old ones too, so do drop by our booth and get in on the excitement.We will be launching a great number of products for everyone. So come by and give us your name to receive more info and meet Renata from La Tienda who will be selling some of her funky Steampunk hair ornaments at our booth and showcasing her amazing photo shoot album we did 3 years ago !! Plus we have a Brand new album of the gal you see on this promo piece AND another amazing piece that stands 88" tall at our booth!! This was one of her favorite images that she said we could blog about.Can you believe she is a not only married 31 years..but a grandmother of 2! Wow. The world is so small as we discovered we both swim at the same time...6am ( she is much more dedicated though in the Masters Group) at the PG Aquatic Centre and we both go to Yoga at Chinook Yoga !!Thanks again for squeezing us in to your busy schedule Charlene.You have a  stunning dress. SHIRAZ Cafe and Restaurant just opened their doors in the Parkwood Mall here in Prince George.  It is the fist PERSIAN Restarant in town. Sat Dec 29 was their Grand Opening.  Music and dancing was enjoyed along with the great food!

We were delighted to have had the owner and his parents and chief to our home for Christmas Day Dinner. .Quite by coincidence  my partner went in to get some food the night before. It was after the  Lessons and Songs Service we attended at St.Micheal's and All Angels Anglican Church where I sing in the small choir.

When she said she had invited them for dinner I realized I knew who she was inviting - the family of my friend Roya Akabri - another photographer who now lives in Vancouver.It is a small small world.They are a delightful family and though our English is limited we are able to communicate no problem.The parents have been here 4 months now from Iran to help their son Reza with the restaurant.Reza has been here several years and has lovely English..So if you haven't already been to their cafe/restaurant as it is open during the day ...and till 11pm so you can go before or after a movie or any time for Persian tea and baklava ( absolutely my favorite ) do go.It is a lovely new diverse addition to the  dining out options here in Prince George."Like" them on their Facebook Page too and share your secret new get away.

Happy Holidays..family portrait session with a twist

With families gathering for the holidays we often go on location in and outdoors for sessions

and this past weekend we were at the university to photograph 20 people 10 under the age of  5!

They were marvelous.We did this as a fun one on the steps. Happy Holidays to all our clients
